The full-on artistry of mezzo-soprano Raehann Bryce-Davis was on magnificent display tonight at the Portland Museum of Art. With the support of pianist Timothy Steele, Opera Maine and the PMA's Phillippa Pitts, Raehann offered a brilliantly provocative and varied program combining the visual art of Paul Wonner, Louis Stettner, Elizabeth Jabar and Eliot Porter with music by Mozart, Schumann, Brahms, Wagner, Copland as well as Langston Hughes/Scott Gendel, Margaret Bonds, Paul Moravec and Richard Danielpour. Brava!
